I’m back with another Fun, Time-Conscience No-Bake Cake Hack! These are some of my favourite party tips to share, because they’re always Easy and Delicious.
My Kids have recently started to really Enjoy Cooking, so we’re involving them more in the Process. It’s been a lot of Enjoyable Time together as a Family over the School Holidays, getting Creative and a little Messy in the Kitchen!
This week I thought we would make some Aussie themed treats in the lead up to Australia Day next weekend!
Making Australia Day Mini Pavs
I promise, these were Super Quick and Simple to make! All you need are a few, easy-to-find ingredients from the store and a few tools from your kitchen. All up they took about 10 minutes to make.
Here’s a look at what we used:
We had initially planned to make a Pavlova but Coles substituted our Pavlova base for these Mini Pavs you can see in the photo. How cute are they?!
It actually turned out better than our plan. The Kids were able to each pick their own Mini Pavs to decorate, so this minimised arguments over who was doing what.
Ingredients and Steps
If you’re ready to make your own Australia Day Mini Pavs, here’s what you’ll need:
- Milo
- Mini pavlovas
- Candies and chocolates for decorating (we used Freddos, Caramello Koalas, Jaffas, Tim Tam Bites, Lamington Bites, and Fantales)
- Mixing bowl
- Mixer
- Spatula or knife for spreading cream, or piping bag
- Plate or platter for display
Then, there are just a few easy steps to assembling the Mini Pavs!
- Make cream by whipping a few tablespoons of Milo in a bowl with a mixer.
- Pipe or spread the cream onto the mini pavs.
- Decorate!
Here’s a photo of the Kids creating their Australia Day Mini Pavs. You can see that while we were Decorating, we cut some of the candies for size and just left the Fantales wrapped as a decoration on the platter!
These were Delicious and there was absolutely no effort required - My sort of Cooking!
